Hello. I am Patricia Louraine R. Caalim-Ingco of BEE 223L Electrical Circuits 2.

Mainly, we are
going to talk about circuit analysis, specifically on a circuit that contains a sinusoidal voltage and
current sources with phase angles, which is generally called an alternating current circuit or AC
circuit on their steady-state.
Such circuits contain basic components such as the resistors, capacitors, and inductors that are in
series, parallel, or series-parallel connection. With that, there exist 6 techniques to analyze the
circuit, and by analyzing the circuit means by finding the voltage of various points in the circuit
and currents through all the branches.
And in this video, we will analyze a single circuit by using 2 of the 6 techniques, which are the
nodal analysis and mesh analysis.
 NODAL: EXPLAIN THEN SOLVE.
 Show the final answer
We have this final answer solved using the nodal analysis technique. Now, we are going to solve
the same circuit using mesh analysis.
 NODAL: EXPLAIN THEN SOLVE.
 Show the final answer
With this final answer, which is the same from the answer we had using the nodal analysis
technique, we have now proved that both techniques can solve and analyze such an AC circuit.
Some circuits can be analyzed easily using a specific technique. Still, it now concerns the user to
what technique they are most comfortable with.
