Job Description

Role Purpose

To operate, maintain and support DCAA Data Center Infrastructure operations for IT
Infrastructure section and assist Section Head/Manager in carrying out timely resolution of any
Data center problems or requirements in order to ensure trouble-free, secure and consistent
operation of the DCAA’s Data Center.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

Data Center Infrastructure:

1. Plan, design, Implement and operational Knowledge of Datacentre Technologies such as:
VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, IBM/EMC/HP Storage platforms and latest hyper
converged solutions that will address the organization and external customer needs and growth.

2. In-depth technical understanding of Cloud platforms and management systems such as:
Microsoft Azure, VMware VCloud Suit.

3. In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking solutions such as Network systems,

Datacenter, Mobility, Wireless, Security and its implication and importance on business
decisions is essential.

4. Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (SAN switching, iSCSI,
Fibre Channel , FC, NAS, OSD, SAN, vSAN, Storage virtualization).

5. Working Knowledge in CISCO CUCM and Contact Center Express Jabber, Voice Gateways,
Expressways.
6. Good Knowledge in information security management system (ISMS) ISO 27001

7. Working knowledge of GIN – Government Information Network.

8. Manage Backup task using Veeam SAN based backup and Symantec backup solution.

9. Manage Firewall ,switches and routers

10. Vendor Management: Monitors activities and work of the contractors to ensure that all work
agreed upon is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with the organisation
