Entries of Malayalam feature films censored during the calendar year 2018 are invited from
producers, as per conditions laid down in the Regulations for the Kerala State Awards for Malayalam
Films and Writings on Cinema 2018, for selecting films, artistes, technicians etc. for the grant of
state awards. Award for the Best Book on cinema in Malayalam published during the calendar year
2018 and for the Best Article on Malayalam Cinema published in periodicals during the calendar year
2018 are also invited. Application in the prescribed form along with the film/book/article and other
relevant materials should reach the Secretary, Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on or before 5 pm
on 31't January, 2019. Application forms and copies of the Regulations can be downloaded from the
Academy website www.keralafilm.com or can be obtained through post by sending a self addressed

Designer', 'Dubbing Artiste', Choreographer used in these rules shall refer to the terms as given in the credit titles of the film entered in the
competition duly certified by the Central Board of Film Certification.

o Films made in Malayalam language, shot on film formai or digital format and issued with Censor Certificate only are eligible
for screening in feature film and children's film section.

o Films certified by Central Board of Film Certification as Children's Film only are eligible for screening in Children's Frlm section.

o The term 'Child artiste' refers to Child Artiste under sixteen years of age.

o The term 'Author' refers to the name of the writer as shown in the published book.

o The term 'Writer' means one who has written the article.

o 'Article', means a serious writing/ criticism on Malayalam Cinema.

The final decision in case of any dispute regarding the eligibility of any entry will be on the basis of the certificates issued by
the Central Board of Film Certification.
