BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Pambarangay of Barangay Bolilao Mandurriao Iloilo
City, in session assembled;

Section I. No person below seventeen (17) years old shall stay outside of his/her residential
compound or premises and roam around wander saunter around loiter in any public roads,
parks, plazas or any public place during the period of curfew hours, unless otherwise
exempted under the provisions of this ordinance.

Section II. DEFINITIONS -As used in this ordinance, terms:


a. Curfew hour - Refers to the period of time between ten o’clock in the evening and
four o’clock in the morning.
b. Minors – The person who are under eighteen years old
c. Residential Compound – Place occupied mainly by private houses
d. Public Roads – Refers to barangay roads
e. Parks – Expanse of public land use for recreation
f. Plaza – Open public square owned by the government
g. Public Space – Any place to which the public has access including public schools,
vacant private property owned by the government.

Section III. EXEMPTIONS – This ordinance shall not apply the following circumstances:
1. When the minors is being accompanied by his/her parent, guardian, relatives or
adult person in charges of his/her custody.
2. When the minors is going to any religious, social, civic or sport program and similar
activities.
3. When minors is engaged in lawful pursuit of livelihood or providing assistance in any
lawful activity.
4. When minors is on an errand to save life or property like calling the service of
physician, priest, barangay official and similar circumstances.
5. When the minor is responsible to emergency situations during the occurrence of
natural or man-made calamities.
6. When minors can show proof and explain why she/he is still outside.
7. When minors has a valid reason of why he/she is still outside but still he/she will
accompany by tanod or police officer.

Section IV. RULES AND REGULATION


1. Whenever a minor is apprehended for alleged violation of this Ordinance, immediate
notification to parents and/or barangay officials is necessary, and the minor shall be
placed under temporary protective custody of the police officer on duty at the police
headquarter or the barangay officials and barangay tanod in their respective
barangay hall but only for the remaining period of curfew hours and shall be
released immediately thereafter or sooner thereof upon request of their parents,
guardians, or any immediate members of their family. He /She shall not be placed
behind bars or imprisoned unlike a convicted person.
2. No person, natural or judicial, who has been granted a mayor’s permit to operate a
business or trade activity shall admit, or allow to stay in his establishment any minor
during the period of curfew hours except when the minor is a member of the family
of the operator, manager or person-in-charge of such establishment.
3. No one is allowed to hurt the minor if she/he caught during curfew hours.
4. Only there is allow to claim his/her child.

Section V. PENALTY – This Ordinance is only intended for ”minors” carries no penalty
clause. However, “minors” who are caught violating the curfew hour shall be apprehend
and brought to the police custody until four o’clock in the morning, but if your
son/daughter caught not only once the Punong Barangay has the rights to file a case
against the guardian of a child and Imposition of community service within a week.
