I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. define the meaning of intentional injury;
b. appreciate the importance of knowing the types of intentional injury through
group activity;
c. perform a role play regarding the topic assigned by the teacher.

b. Motivation
Before we start our lesson, let’s have
first an activity called “Picture Analysis”

I will group you into 5. I will pass a


box, inside it is strips of papers, pick
1 strip of paper, the color of paper
that you had picked will be your
group. Group 1 – green
Group 2 – blue
Group3 – red
Group 4 – yellow
Group 5 – pink
Proceed to your groups now. Each
group will be given envelope, inside
it, is cut pictures. Each group will
arrange the cut pictures, after which
choose 1 representative to explain
what your chosen picture is all
about.

So, class, based on our activity a
while ago, what do you think is our
lesson for today?
Ma’am it is all about intentional injury.
That’s right!

There are many types of intentional


injury, but we will only discuss some of
its type.

Okay class, before we proceed to the
types of intentional injuries, let us first
define injury.

hear the word injury?
Ma’am injury means harm or damage.

Ma’am injury is damage to body caused by
external objects or things.

Intentional injuries are injuries resulting
from violence.

The term “intentional” is referred to
injuries resulting from purposeful human
action, whether directed at oneself or
others.

one’s own life.
Many of those who attempt suicide do
not receive mental and emotional
counseling because their families try
to hide the problem because they are
ashamed of it. Because of this, the
problem is not solved and the attempt
to commit suicide happens.

What is domestic violence?

Ma’am domestic violence is an act includes

physical assault (hitting, pushing, shoving, etc.),


sexual abuse and verbal abuse.
That’s right!
Physical assault, sexual abuse and

verbal abuse are behaviors that are

used by one person in a relationship

who tries to control the other. This

may occur to partners who may be

married or not married (i.e. gay or


lesbian.

person.
