CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

MATH CLUB
PREAMBLE

We, the officers and members of the Math Club, imploring the aid of the Almighty God in order
to organize a body that shall promote our welfare, hereby adopt this constitution and by-laws.

ARTICLE I
ORGANIZATION
Section 1. Name: This Organization hereby adopts the name Math Club.

ARTICLE II
OBJECTIVES
Section 1. The club is organized for the following purposes to wit:
1. To promote cooperation and foster camaraderie among its members
2. To enhance the mathematical abilities and improve mathematical standing among its
members
3. To value a deep sense of self-discipline and responsibility among members
4. To organize and to hold lectures and tutorial classes to interested students
5. To help the mathematics instructors to achieve their objectives in making their students
attain excellence

ARTICLE III
MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. Members are high school students in grades 7 through 10.
Section 2. Members shall demonstrate ability to work with others and to conduct independent
research, and shall possess qualities of integrity, industry, initiative, and reliability. No student
will be denied membership on account of race, religion, color, creed, ethnicity, national origin,
gender, sexual preference and/or physical disability.
Section 3. The following are the duties of the members of the club:
A. To uphold and obey the constitution and by-laws of the club.
B. To pay promptly membership dues and any other contributions of the club.
C. To perform other duties as duly elected officers of the club may prescribe.

ARTICLE IV
THE OFFICERS
Section 1. The officers of the club are the following:
A. ELLECTIVE
A president, a vice president, a secretary, a treasurer, an auditor, a PIO, Business
Managers and representatives. Each of which shall be of the club among the members of
the club.

B. APPOINTIVE
The Club President shall have the authority to appoint officers for any vacant position in
the club.
Section 2. VACANCIES
The filling in the election position shall be done in the manner provider here unto.
Section 1. The following are the duties of the club
A. The President
The President shall preside all the meetings of the club, appoint officers to the club other than the
elected ones, and make reports on the state of the club affairs of the club at the monthly meeting.
He shall exercise general supervision on any projects and any activities of the club with the
advisers.
B. The Vice President
The Vice President shall be responsible in organizing and informing the members of the activity
of the club in case of the absence or disability of the president. He shall take the power and
duties of the president.
C. The Secretary
The Secretary shall take the minutes and keep all the minutes of all the meetings of the club for
annual reports. He shall attend the serving and giving of notice of the meetings of the club.
D. The Treasurer
The Treasurer shall keep and of take charge of the funds, receipts, and disbursements of the club
fees. He shall collect the contributions of the members of the club, and render reports in the
accounts and financial conditions of the club during the meeting.
E. The Auditor
The Auditor shall conduct periodic examination or whatever required by the members of the club
funds, accounts, receipts, and disbursements in accordance with the generally accepted practices
of an auditor.
F. The Press Relation Officer
The Press Relation Officer shall be responsible for the publication of any activity of the club. He
shall post ant announcement at least five days before expected date.
G. The Year Level Representatives
The Year Level Representatives are responsible of informing his substituent of the contemporary
activity of the club, and shall act as spokesperson on any suggestions, recommendations,
objections in the implementation of the activity of the club.

ARTICLE V
ELECTION
Section 1. TIME: Election of officers shall take place one month after the school year has
started. The conduct of the election shall be under the supervision and control of the committees
composed of the incumbent president as chairman with any two members and adviser.
Section 2. MANNER: The election may be done by secret balloting or any other manner as the
body may determine.
