Project Abstract : After cutting the plate(4340 AISI Steel) into pieces, they are chromium plated and
then carbonized . Due to this there might be an increase in the toughness of the
plate. as a result of formation of some alloy between the coating and material.
Hence there is need of analyzing these phenomena.
