BELOW IS AN INTERESTING ARTICLE ON THE RISKS OF INTRODUCING GRAINS TO

DIABETES: A way to reduce it in babies

Parents, you can cut your baby's odds of type 1 diabetes by sticking
to the recommended schedule of introducing cereals at 4 to 6 months.
Researchers tracked 1,000 healthy babies at high risk of developing
diabetes and reported in the "Journal of the American Medical
Association" that diabetes was four times higher in babies who began
cereals before 4 months, and five times higher in those who began
after 6 months.
