AE Basics

On this screenshot the names of basic panels and tools, that You'll need.
Importing Elements
There 2 ways to import elements:

1. Import "Shape Elements

After Effects 2.aep" into your project (File-Import-File-select "Shape Elements 2.aep").
file.aep
2. Import elements as a pre-render (read more in the "Rendering").
How to Use?

Just drag and drop elements from project panel.

Finding your element

Use project panel to locate elements. Use search bar to find specific element (e. g. "Circle 01", "Splash
15" or just begin typing and you'll see all possible results).

P.S. Be sure you always choose elements from Menu folder.

Local Color Control

Every element has its own color control. Open element's composition, select layer "CC", open effect
controls, put checkbox on "Use Color Below" and select color.
Scaling

All elements except pre-rendered are vector-based. But since they are in comps you should turn on
continuous rasterization to scale elements without loosing quality.

P.S. If you don't see this button - press F4.

Delete Help Files (only for PRO)

Delete folder "Help Files" in the project panel. Save project. Done.

P.S. Color Palettes will stay.

Rendering

Open composition you selected, press Composition - Add to Render Queue. I prefer to use quicktime
(mov) format and PNG or Animation as a codec. Choose RGB+Alpha to render with alpha channel
(transparent background). Put checkbox on Audio Output for Opener Animation.
