Let the learners pick folded paper in the box, one at a time, ask them if it is good
ways of spending money or waste spending of money,why or why not?
 Paying for transport on a motorcycle when you could have walked?
 Buying soft drinks when you have enough water to drink?
 Buying new clothes when you have enough clothes.
 Spending all your money on cell phone load to tlak with friends.
What did you feel about the activity? Why there is a need to save money for the
future? What are the positive habits would you possess to cut costs?
 The 4 Habits to Cut Costs are the Reducing, Recycling, Repairing and Reusing.
 Reducing is decreasing the quantity of something being used.
 Recycling is taking old, used materials and giving them new life as a different or
slightly altered product.
 Repair is fixing things that are broken, but if given a little time and energy, can
be made useful again.
Ask the learners other examples of Reducing, Recycling, Repairing and Reusing.
The learners will identify the 4 Habits to Cut Costs (4 R’s)
Guide Questions:

2. Why do you need to possess these habits?
3. How can you lessen your expenses in your everyday life?
