I. Important inputs

1.) Temporary travel ban from China in order to contain the spread of the novel corona virus.

2.) The purpose of the said travel van is to emphasized that the safety is the utmost priority.

3.) However, visitors who do not fall under the restrictions set under the travel ban are still welcome to
visit the country.

4.) Negative impact of the temporary travel ban from China to the tourist arrival of the Philippines.

5.) Explains the course of actions undertaken of the Departmant of Health to minimize the risk of corona
virus in the country.

II. POSITION PAPER

Though China remains the country's second largest source market of foreign arrivals, with the prevalent
issue on the spread of the novel corona virus, still we cannot risk our health by welcoming them in our
country most especially that we do not have sufficient medical equipments and facilities to treat patients
that will be tested positive on this virus . Hence, I consider this temporary ban as a very wise decision
taken by the administration. Afterall, it is just for the meantime and can be resume if things went back to
normal. Wealth is not that much important as health is. Yes, this temporary ban could be a big threat to
our economy because it could decrese our gross income yet it is still the best way that we should think
of otherwise our health will be at stake and if so happen, we cannot do anything and it could only make
things worst. Joycelyn Elders once said, " Health is more than the absence of disease; it is about
economics, education, environment, empowerment and community. The health amd well-being of the
people is critically dependent upon the health system that serves them. It must provide the best possiblr
health with the least disparaties and respond equally well to everyone". Thus, let's make it us our utmost
priority.
