Reading is divided into two types such as intensive and extensive reading.

The purpose of
reading for pleasure and to improve reading skill is known as extensive reading. Reading for
observing and grasping the essence of the content is intensive reading. Therefore “Read for
details” comes under intensive reading which has specific learning aims and tasks. Through
activities or exercises, the intensive reading can be done especially comprehensive reading
requires the detailed reading skill to observe the points keen on answering the indirect
questions.
The trainer may ask the students to answer the comprehensive questions after reading the
passage. Automatically, the students read the paragraph twice or thrice to answer all the
questions that develop the ability of reading more and deep. Skimming and scanning are the
major tools to improve the reading skill
