Smoke Detector Interface
Introduction:
POLYGON offers Smoke Detector Interface module, specially
designed for interfacing smoke detector with the fire alarm
system. The Unique feature of the module is that 2 separate
potential free relay O/P is given which can be used to take
desired action (e.g. for shut the power supply immediately/ for
audible alarm etc). Multiple smoke detectors can be connected
with a single Module. Smoke Detector Interface are very
reliable, robust, cost effective & have good noise immunity.
This Module works efficiently under various atmospheric
conditions.

Installation & Working:
ƒ Mount the module as per requirement(Din Rail/wall mounting)
ƒ Ensure Power is OFF during connection
ƒ Connect 24VAC/DC & Smoke detector I/P(+ & - both)
ƒ Connect 2-Separate Potential free contacts as per requirement.
(DI to PLC/DDC; Directly to Alarm; to operate fire extinguisher;
to contactor to shut down the supply immediately)
ƒ Switch ON the power.
ƒ When smoke is detected 2-Potential free O/P can be used for
the desired action( as mentioned above)
ƒ Multiple smoke detectors can be connected in Parallel as shown
in the connection diagram.
