ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Born and raised in Calcutta, Nidhi Goenka is a

Product Design graduate from The Parsons School of
Design, New York. Nidhi’s designs are inspired by her
travels, her love for books and an obsession towards
organization. She constantly strives to use materials
that contribute to the functionality of the product than
just being a means to a form.

After graduating in 2017, she’s worked at an ecletic

range of companies like Areaware where she assisted
in product development, and in BoConcept as an
Interior Design Consultant. After returning to India, she
worked at Art Collection where she handled the design,
execution and marketing of a new showroom dedicated
to beds.

However, she noticed a gap in the market between

well-designed and well-made everyday products.
Seeing this an opportunity to create something fresh
and unique, Fun/ctional was created as a means to
offer practical utility products that follow modern
aesthetics, are playful and encourage personal
expression.

4 Containers is a bath ensemble made of cork,
an eco-friendly material that is light-weight and
highly resistant to liquids, making it ideal for
bath products. It keeps the things inside dry
and has anti-bacterial properties that ensure
the required hygiene. It includes a toothbrush
holder, a cotton buds/pads holder and two
accessories holder, all of which can be stacked
together and stored easily. Its clean and
effortless form adds to its versatility, adapting
to various spaces to accommodate its needs.

accessories and books. The metal
brackets slide into the slots of the
wooden base to divide and support
objects of different sizes. With
Array, one can pull a book out without
displacing all the others. The openness
of the product allows one to organize
things their way and add their own
expression to ones study/office table.

An elegant alternative to metal shelves that
actually go with your bathroom aesthetic.
The fabric surface creates a calming wave
like form that can hold your towels and
toiletries while the conical knobs on the
front serve as stoppers for hangers and
hooks for clothes. The fabric also allows
one to adjust the width of the shelf while
installing, so one can fit them even in small

touch. The cork fabric is a vegan leather

your travels.
