Number management system is performing Number generation related activities like MSISDN
number generation, SIM Number generation, MSISDN and SIM pairing, MSISDN activation on network
and entire life cycle of the sim and MSISDN. System also handles Toll free numbers, Mobile number
portability (MNP) and behaves as central repository for numbers and master configurations. It is one of
the top most critical system which has been treated as the Master repository for Mobile and SIM and
provide API to business critical systems like Prepaid CRM, Post-paid CRM, MNP, Comptel etc.

based solution, it supports creation and management of customer accounts, pricing and provisioning of
various services, activity tracking, real time rating and billing. The @Ability has modules for customer

Description:

Process involves creating the entitlements against each order and interacting with the upstream
and downstream system to place the orders, cancel and tracking the orders.
Once the entitlement created at DF end, information’s will be sent to the down system to
manage the payments.
On successful orders, triggers the msg to the customers about the orders till the orders gets
delivery notifications will be sent.

Responsibilities:
 Creating and modifying packages & creating new indexes, tables.
 In case of error / bug, analyze root cause and prepare documentation and fixing the issues as
early as possible.

Project 4: MTN-SEA PREPAID USAGE SUMMARY

Description:

Main aim of this project is at the end of the month we have to share the prepaid
subscriber’s usage details like Call Events, Recharge Events. Currently CBS system handling only
the postpaid data to bill the subscribers. Since client wants to improve their business they wants
to analysis the prepaid data usages. Since the usage of prepaid is more we have suggested and
used Hadoop concept for this project.

Responsibilities:
 Migrating the data from RDBMS to HDFS using Sqoop.
 Developed the pig scripts to manipulate the required data according the requirements.
 Developed the hive table scripts to load the migrated data from RDBMS.
 In case of error / bug, analyze root cause and prepare documentation and fixing the issues as
early as possible.

MTN Rwanda has Postpaid and prepaid subscriber base with legacy system as agility 3.0. Which has to be
upgraded to @billity 4.0 with its CDRs and underlying structure and Constraints.

Responsibilities:

 Have done analysis on Agility 3.0 functionalities, billing strategies, and structures.
 Have developed Staging environment that reacts to the Legacy system and Target as well.
 Have given privileges and access permissions to the same and multiple environments using synonyms and
grants where flow of data between multiple schemas to be smoother.
 Developed Procedures, functions which suit the Target structure of @billity 4.0.
 Responsible for solving user queries from various medias like Interchange chat channel, Mails
 Have performed Pilot migration and MTN Staff migration for Fine Testing and working of the application in
IAT, UAT and LIVE environments
