ABSTRACT

In India about 73% of population is directly or indirectly depends upon the farming. Hence it
is said that India is an agricultural based country. But till now our farmers are doing farming
in same traditional ways. They are doing seed sowing, fertilizers and pesticides spraying,
cultivating by conventional methods. There is need of development in fertilizers spraying
technique, because it requires more efforts and time to spray by traditional way.
By mechanization in spraying devices fertilizers and pesticides are distributed equally on the
farm and reduce the quantity of waste, which results in prevention of losses and wastage of
input applied to farm. It will reduce the cost of production. In our project, we are going to use
the cheapest method by trapping the solar energy. The trapped solar energy is used to charge
the battery for pumping the particular items to the agriculture field. We have designed and
developed a system called solar agro sprayer.
Thus an agricultural sprayer based on solar technology is implemented to reduce dependency
on conventional sprayers.

II.ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to put on record, my appreciation and great acknowledgement to many people,
who have rendered their support and input. Without them, it would not have been possible.
For me to shape this project report.

First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Prof. A.G.Suresh, Head
of the Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, for his friendly approach,
valuable guidance, and unending encouragement provided to me in shaping my academic
career. We are deeply indebted to Mr. Jyothish Kumar S Y, Assistant Professor who has
always showed great zeal for finding time to share his ideas, giving his reviews, ideas and
suggestions. He provided the most valuable information on page setting and logical
arrangement of our project report.

We also extend our core-heartened sincere thanks to all the faculty members of the
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering for their good heartedness, moral
support and showing me the joy of intellectual pursuit ever since we joined this college. We
also thank all the non-teaching staff of the Department for their extended help.

We consider it a great honor to acknowledge Dr Suneelkumar.N.Kulkarni, Principal, BTL

Institute of Technology & Management, for his never ending support, encouragement and
