GENERAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF

LUPAMAT SCREW COMPRESSORS – C SERIES

AIR SUCTION SYSTEM:

*Two stages
*With dust holding bowl
*Filter elements very easily changable
*With paper element

Air filter system is designed to let the compressor work effectively even in dusty conditions
and it is designed for easy service activities.

AIR/ OIL SEPERATION SYSTEM

Compressed air/oil mixture which comes out from the air end goes to the air tank which is
connected to the air tank with flexible hoses.
Using centrifugal force, the air/oil mixture from the air end slides down the inner walls to the
bottom of the tank where it is collected.
The air containing the remaining oil vapor is sent to the box type separator filtering element
and it is separated here totally.

COMPRESSED AIR LINE

The pressured air that has been purified of the oil in the separator tank goes to the system by
getting cooled up to 10-150c above the ambient temperature at CIESSE trademarked plate-
bar after cooler that has been tested for 26 bar working pressure and 40 bar test pressure. It
has been used MULTI-WING, EBM PLAST and ZIEHL-ABEEG trademarked fan.
OIL LINE

In order to reach maximum free air delivery, minimum power and long life; most appropriate
temperatured oil should be send to the air end. Cold oil causes loss of free air delivery, usage
of more power and deficient oiling because of the condensation inside of the oil. Because of
this reason, The thermal oil mixture valve controls the temperature and amount of the oil to be
suitable for your compressor. When the compressor is started cold, a portion of the oil will
return to the air end without entering the cooler. As the system’s temperature increases and
exceeds the pre-set temperature in the valve, oil is sent to the cooler.
Thermostatic valve is inside of the block and it is VMC trademark.

Also microprocessor protects system by getting oil temperature and operating fan If it is
necessary.

After the temperature controlled by the CIESSE trademark plate-bar oil cooler it passes the
oil filter.

CONSTRUCTION:

Electric motor is flanged type and it is adjusted to the same plate with air end. In order to
prevent vibration we applied rubber skids between the electric motor stand and chassis.
The cabin has front panel filter to provide air suction without dust, has automatic pressed lock
service doors to provide easy maintenance. Inside the cabin there exists non flammable sound
insulation material to provide silent working.

PNEUMATIC SYSTEM includes;

-Air suction control valve which provides the operation option of constant unloaded,
constant loaded/unloaded or adjustable order. Also in cases of sudden shut down where
pressure is present or during normal stops, it prevents the air/oil mixture from flowing
backwards. (Functions like check valve)

-Piston for suction control valve which opens and closes the intake control valve.

-Minimum pressure valve which prevents air from entering the tank before the inside
pressure of the tank has reached 3.5 bars.

- BURKERT trademarked 3/2 way solenoid valve which enables the compressor to work
unloaded and loaded. It controls the suction control valve piston.

-TORC or ASCO trademarked 2/2 way solenoid valve which enables the compressor to
switch over to a smooth load by discharging the air within the separator tank.

-Max. Pressure selection relay operates the compressor in relation to the amount of air that
will be used by supplying the control air from the outlet pressure or internal pressure.
-Oil flow indicator which checks the flow of the oil collected during the box type separator’s
second stage as it is send to the air end block.

-Modulated control valve is optional and it helps the compressor producing as much air as is
consumed and so provides regular working and energy save.

ELECTRIC SYSTEM

MOELLER or LG trademarked elements such W automats, contactors, buttons and cables.

.Quality and non-flammable products are used for the other electric parts such connectors,
cable canal, spiral hoses.

MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL SYSTEM (CCS 3.0):

CCS 3.0 Compressor Control System has been specially designed for LUPAMAT screw air
compressors. CCS 3.0 is a micro processor-based controller which starts and stops the
compressors, makes pressure regulation, temperature control and protects the compressor
against the failures. CCS 3.0 is a single unit which comprises control module and control
panel. CCS 3.0 microprocessor system has 2x16 LCD display, start and stop buttons, start
/stop indicator / warning led and has a wide menu which you can follow service times ,
working and failure parameters and alarm settings.

SCREEN INFORMATIONS;
Start-Up Screen; When you power up CCS3.0, the above start-up screen is displayed. After 5
seconds, the screen changes to main operating screen. During that 5 seconds, both LED
indicators are
continuously on.
Main Operating Screen; Line air pressure is displayed on the left of the upper row and
airend temperature on the right of the upper row. The pressure and temperature units may be
indicated in Bar/PSI and Celsius/Fahrenheit respectively.
The current operational status of the compressor is displayed on the lower row. The statuses
are:
- STOPPED
- STOPPING
- STARTING
- MOTOR DRIVING
- WORKING ON UNLOAD
- WORKING ON LOAD
- ON AUTOWAITING
- WAITING ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
CCS 3.0 can also control the compressor by a pressure switch.
ALARM AND WARNING SCREENS
Green LED indicates the operating status of the compressor. When this green LED is off, it
indicates that thecompressor is stopping. When it is continuously lit, it indicates that the main
motor is running. When it blinks slowly, it indicates that the compressor is in Autowaiting
mode.
Red LED indicates that there is an alarm (warning or trip) in the system. When it blinks every
one second, it means there is a yellow alarm and it is for warning (it does not stop the
compressor). When it blinks faster, there is red alarm in the system. Red alarm shuts down the
compressor.

CHANGINGS & MAINTENANCE WARNING DISPLAY

When any of Changing & Maintenance remaining time is up, it is time for the related
maintenance. In that case, at every hour when the compressor is running, the related
maintenance is displayed on the below row of the LCD. The failure/warning indicator LED
blinks at long intervals. To clear the warning, press any menu control button on CCS 3.0
once. When a changing/maintenance warning is given, the compressor manufacturer should
be contacted.

CCS 3.0 MENU STRUCTURE

There are 5 headings in CCS 3.0 menu. These are:
- P1 - ALARM MENU
- P2 –CHANGING & MAINTENANCE REMANING TIMES
- P3 – USER SETTINGS
- P4 – SERVICE SETTINGS
- P5 – FACTORY SETTINGS
There are 3 parameters levels in CCS 3.0. These are: User, Service and Factory levels. Each
parameter level is protected by a password. By user password, one may get access to user
level only. By service password, one my get access to user and service levels. By factory
password, one may get access to all user, service and factory levels. There is no password
protection in Alarm menu and Changing & Maintenance menu. For these menus, when no
button is pressed within 3 minutes, the screen is automatically changed to status screen.
