PIZZA BLUES METHOD

THIS EXAMPLES IS IN C (THESE INGREDIENTS COULD APPLY TO WHATEVER ROOT. TONAL CENTER)

C is the root - the tonic - (the base)

E is the major 3rd - (the tomato sauce)

G is the fifth (the cheese)

A is the major 6th (ham)

E flat is the minor 3rd - (the pepper)

D is the second or 9th - (the oregano)

Bb is the flattened 7th- - (salami)

F is the Fourth - (onion)

F sharp is the #4 (b5) (garlic)

Ab is the flat 6th (pineapple)

B is the major 7th - (olives)

C# is the sharp 1 (b2) - The anchovies.

Each and every note then, like the ingredients has a distinct and unique individuality. Take the
time to get to know the notes and love them!

Tonic: a steady, firm note, that is at the base of the chord

Note - it is not necessary to learn the exact note/ingredient association ilustrated here They will be
