CONTEXT
HR’s purpose is to facilitate the improvement of technical expertise and thought leadership throughout Anglo
American by shaping and implementing people systems and processes.
PURPOSE
Direct the analysis, design, formulation and maintenance of the compensation policy of Quellaveco organization
overseeing its proper execution, in order to. ensure internal equity, external competitiveness and primacy of
meritocracy within the Organization.
Define general policies and direct the management and process of payroll, administration of personnel and their
labour benefits ensuring that meets the conditions of quality, timeliness and reliability, to ensure compliance with
legal regulations and Anglo American reward policy as well as external competitiveness.
TYPICAL TASKS

 Design, define and deploy the Compensation & Benefits strategy and policy for Quellaveco organization
in alignment with Anglo American Rewards Group.
 Define and communicate the procedures of the Personnel Administration area, internal work handbook
and other necessary guidelines for personnel management.
 Design and approve with Head of HR the compensation policy, procedure and programs in accordance
with best market practices and with the internal needs of the Organization.
 Participate in Mining Compensation Surveys in order to review the compensation strategy.
 Design models for jobs evaluation, salary increases, special salary plans for high-potential and critical key
personnel, among others.
 Design and consolidate expatriation compensation packages accordingly with Corporate Guidelines.
 Oversee the expatriation processes: compensation, tax equalizations, benefits, relocation and
international moving.
 Establish, ensure and supervise workforce planning and headcount reporting for Quellaveco.
 Manage, review and maintain an updated organizational structure (Template, Job Profiles and
Organization Charts)
 Ensure the optimal and timely compliance of the administration of payroll processes, the preparation of
reports for payment of contributions, contributions, taxes and payments to third parties.
 Implement payroll systems during the execution stage of Quellaveco.
 Control and supervise that all actions of personnel are executed within the framework and current labour
policies
 In charge of updating and reporting of all Key Performance Indicators of Human Resources Department.

Managerially Accountable to: Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and Reporting Management.
Key Internal Relationships: Human Resources Site Manager, Senior HR Business Partner Project, Talent &
Development Manager, HR Business Partners.
Key External Relationships: Consultants, Payroll Contractors, Insurance Broker
Direct Reports (if applicable): Personnel Administration Lead, Reward Advisor.

Knowledge Formal qualifications:
 Industrial Engineering and Administration.
 Preferably with an MBA or Master in Human Resources Management.

 Compensations.
 Labour Relations and Personnel Management.
 Intermediate Advanced English
 Knowledge in mining or mining industry.
 Experience in medium-large companies,
 Experience working in payroll administration processes,
 Experience in collective bargaining.
 Knowledge on labour law domain,
 Experience with hiring national and foreign personnel (expatriates).
 Knowledge in trade union treatment.
 Experience working with systems related to the Personnel and SAP
Worksheet (user level).
