Marker: A Study on the Effectiveness of Whiteboard Animation as a Story-telling Medium

Abstract

The multimedia project is a whiteboard stop-motion animation. It is drawn traditionally

frame by frame using a whiteboard pen on a whiteboard. The technique is mainly stop-motion on

whiteboard itself, focusing on it as a story telling medium. The process of the project is revolved

on the techniques in digital animation, specifically motion graphics. The story is about a girl telling

a story on her one-night adventure with an unrequited love. The project is mainly targeting the

general patronage, although the techniques and use for the medium are specifically targeted for the

art industry. This will introduce a new type of technique for animation and films. The film

production started in June 2017and ended on August 2017, Term 1 SY 2017-2018.
