Ways To Practice At Home:

● Listen to your child read the decodable book that they are bringing home
each week. This is an orange and white book. Your child has the skills to
read every word in this book - it only includes word patterns that we have
learned so far!
● Multi-sensory Word Work: Lead your child in writing words using shaving
cream, flour in a baking sheet, sidewalk chalk, or play-doh. Make it fun!
● Create a set of flash cards with each word written twice. Play a memory
game together!
● Let your child type their words on a computer.
● Use old magazines and newspapers and let your child cut out letters to
build words.
