ETHICAL THAT SHOULD BE APPLIED TO BE ONE OF E-COMMERCE

COMMUNITY

 Ethical Retailers

- Responsibility, Accountability and Liability

Responsibility holds the idea of accepting duties, obligations and also potential costs
of which decisions are made. Accountability features an instrument of determining
who has to take account on the consequences of the actions, individual or the whole
organization. Liability extends the meaning of responsibility and accountability in
the context of law. It belongs to political regulations where damages in actions can
be allowed by laws to be recovered by other factors or systems.

- Accurate Product Listing

E-Commerce is different from traditional retail because your customers cannot touch
the product they want to buy. They will look at pictures and videos that show the
product in ideal lighting, Photoshop processing, and artistic touch. They’ll read
descriptions that may say very little (or may say a ton) about the product.

The customers do not get to see the exact item they will receive. Therefore, it is
important that you make the effort to list your products accurately, completely, and
honestly.

 Ethical Consumers

- Look for Retailers With Clear Ethical Policy

Consumers should try to find retailers that have clear ethical policies, a good
relationship with their suppliers and sell independently accredited products. Also,
look out for companies that do not have a clear policy on how workers’ rights are
guaranteed throughout their supply chain.
- Cruelty Free

Pick companies with clear animal testing policies which include a fixed cut off date
for animal tested ingredients. In addition, go for companies which have a
not-for-profit trading structure or only sell vegan or fair trade products.
