Agentic Perspective- Earlier learning theories depends on the principles of reinforcement to see how
human behavior is developed or changed.
Traditional Reciprocal Causation- the regulation of human behavior by the interplay or combination of
behavioral, cognitive and environmental factors.

Observational Learning
Observation- Occurs intentionally or accidentally.
Imitation- mimicking the model.
Modeling- matching the structure, style of behavior.

Factors:
1.Characteristic of the model- someone who we believe is similar to ourselves.
2.Attributes of the observer- people who lacks self-esteem are more possible in following a model.
3.Reward consequences associated with behavior- If the behavior will lead to positive and long term
result.

4 Processes of Observational Learning

1.Attention -Characteristics of a model.
2.Retention - Observing someone’s behavior without immediately performing the response.
3.Motor production (imitation) - converting the symbolic representation of the behavior into right
actions.
4.Motivational (reinforcement)-What a person can do (acquisition) and what a person actually does
(Perform)

Self-efficacy-belief of a person that a behavior will produce desired effects.

Collective-efficacy-group’s shared belief in its ability to organize and carry out actions that will lead to
