Nim : 19101105017
Prodi : FARMASI
Class :A

1. There are two vectors, namely Vector A and Vector B, each of which is 20 and 10 units. If
the angle between the two vectors is 60º, determine the resultant vector A-B and the angle
of the resultant.

 Answer.
The size of the wedge angle between vectors A and -B= 180º – 60º = 120º
Cos 120º = -1/2
𝑅 = √𝐴2 + 𝐵 2 + 2𝐴𝐵 cos(180 − 60)
1
𝑅 = √402 + 202 + 2.40.20.
2
𝑅 = √1600 + 400 − 800
𝑅 = √2800
𝑅 = 20√7

2. An object O is pulled by two forces A = 30 N and B 15 N. These two forces form an angle
of 600, calculate the magnitude and direction of the resultant vector!
 Answer.
A= 30 N ; B= 15 N ; 𝛼 = 600

𝑅 = √𝐴2 + 𝐵 2 + 2𝐴𝐵 cos 𝛼

𝑅 = √302 + 152 + 2.30.15. cos 60
1
𝑅 = √900 + 225 + 900.
2
𝑅 = √900 + 225 + 30
𝑅 = √1155
