UC-5

Nonlethal Laser Module

The UC-5 module is an ultracompact high power
green laser device for use by OEM’s and systems
integrators to add long range non-lethal deterrence
to their equipment. The small size and fiber
coupled transmitter allow easy integration with
existing systems. The modules are designed for
use in harsh environments. Up to 20 modules can
be combined for a total output power of 100 Watts
in a single beam. An optional integrated
rangefinder is available to prevent operation on
targets within the NOHD.

Key Features
 High laser power, 5000 mW
 Lowest SWaP (size, weight and power consumption) of any multiWatt
green laser
 All optics and electronics in a single package, only DC input power
required
 Fully sealed for outdoor applications (IP67)
 Optional integrated rangefinder

Beam profile
The UC-5 incorporates patented beam
shaping technology to provide an
extremely uniform output intensity
profile at all distances. For non-lethal
weapons this is important not only for
providing the maximum effective beam
diameter but also for precise and
repeatable specification of the Nominal
Optical Hazard Distance (NOHD). The
UC-5 is the only laser in it’s power
class that has received EU wide
certification as a Class 1, eyesafe laser
device when the NOHD is observed. UC-5 Gaussian beam
