A combined scheme of generalized finite difference method and Krylov deferred correction

technique for highly accurate solution of transient heat conduction problems are studied by
Wenzhen Qu, Yan Gu, Yaoming Zhang, Chia-Ming Fan and Chuanzeng Zhang. In this paper,
transient heat conduction problems with highly accurate solutions are studied by using a
numerical framework in this paper. Krylov deferred correction (KDC) approach is introduced to
discretize the temporal direction of the problems, which the method is arbitrarily high order of
accuracy. At the same time, the computational complexity is remained to be the same as in the
time-marching of first-order methods. A boundary value problem of the inhomogeneous modified
Helmholtz equation is yielded at each time step by employing the KDC method. the solution of
resulting boundary value problems is then being applied with Meshless finite difference method
(MFDM) or meshless generalized finite difference method (GFDM) at each time step. For a long-
time dynamic simulation, the proposed hybrid KDC-GFDM scheme is shown to allow big time step
size by the Six numerical experiments in one-, two-, and three-dimensional, which it is also has a
great potential for the problems with complex boundaries. In addition, the COMSOL software, and
the GFDM with implicit Euler method are also being compared to the present method (Wenzhen
Qu, 2018).

Next, a study of a finite difference method for solving a heat conduction equation of a
granite was done by Dalal Adnan Maturi, Amal Ibrahem Aljedani and Eman Salem Alaidarous in
Departement of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. This
paper studied on the solving method for a Granite heat conduction equation, to see the efficiency
of using the material in various construction works. A Matlab software was used as a tool to solve
the heat equation problem. In this study, the method is illustrated by showing five numerical
examples. In order to determine the higher accuracy and simplicity of the proposed method,
graphical figures were also presented. Moreover, the propounded method is mentioned that it is
easily generalized for heat conduction of other different materials. As a results, Granite is shown
to be a material resistant to various high temperatures, hence the method is proved to be highly
effective in order to study the problem (Dalal Adnan Maturi, 2019).
Next, a study of a moving mesh non-standard finite difference method for nonlinear heat
transfer in a thin finite rod were done by M. Bisheh-Niasar and M. Arab Ameri. In this paper, a
moving mesh non-standard finite difference (MMNSFD) method is developed which combines a
moving mesh technique and a non-standard finite difference method to solve an initial boundary
value problem involving a quartic nonlinearity that arises in heat transfer with thermal radiation. A
simple geometric adaptive algorithm, which to preserve stability is used to obtain the moving
spatial grid. Moreover, to protect the positivity condition of the solution, variable time steps are
used. A corresponding uniform mesh non-standard finite difference scheme is then being
compared with the results of this computational technique. The presented method shows that the
simulations approximates the solutions well, hence it is said to be efficient and applicable.
Furthermore, the corresponding uniform mesh non-standard finite difference fails because of
producing unreal solution (Ameri, 2018).

Next, a Numerical Method for Filtering the Noise in the Heat Conduction Problem was
studied by Yao Sun, Xiaoliang Wei, Zibo Zhuang and Tian Luan. In this paper, an effective
numerical method is given to be used for heat conduction problem connected with the Laplace
equation. The boundary integral equation about the density function is obtained by using a single-
layer potential approach to the solution. The projection method is used to deal the weakly singular
kernel of the integral equation, which used the Lagrange trigonometric polynomials basis. It is
purposely to to give an approximation of the density function. A few examples, including a
boundary condition with a jump discontinuity and a boundary condition with a corner are used to
study the effectiveness of the proposed method. A method of fundamental solutions (MFS) is also
given in the comparative study (Yao Sun, 2019).
