2. The Story Behind the Creation of the lyrics

"Jar of Hearts" is the debut single by American singer Christina Perri. The song was released
onto iTunes July 27, 2010. Perri wrote the song in December 2009, only to begin working with
her production and management team in February 2010. "Jar of Hearts" is describes about
Perri’s real life, recalling an ex-boyfriend who wanted to reconnect after a tough breakup.

3. Meanings

The first verse is telling us that perri is tired and don't want to involve with her ex again.
Because she's just wasting time by waiting and waiting, but her ex didn't give certainty. It is
showed as it follows.

Then she tells her ex that she will not be around him again (like a ghost) and lost her faithful
love. She wants to say to him that she does not love him anymore. It can be seen at it follows

Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore

You lost the love I loved the most
 The chorus is talk about perri anger to her ex. Perri’s has learned to live in
disappointment, enduring the pain in her heart and suddenly her ex wants him back for once
again. Perri’s of course didn't want with her ex anymore because her ex just plays with hearts,
leaves a scars and then he leaves like he does nothing. Perri’s believe that karma will come
to him. Perri’s tells that he should not come back again.

In the second verse, perri heard that her ex is gathering information about her and want
to meet her again, but perri is more stronger now, so she will never affected by her ex.

The bridge talk about perri current feeling that he took very long time to fix her heart
and she wished that she missed her first kiss because her ex broke all of his promises and
now he want to go back again.
