Abstract

This study investigated the comparison of the Individualized

Intelligence Quotient of the Identical Twins of the Junior and Senior High

School Students of Theresian School of Cavite A.Y 2019 – 2020. The

aim of the study was to answer the following specific questions: (a) what

is the Intelligence Quotient level of the first born junior and senior high

school identical twin students of Theresian School of Cavite? (b) What is

the Intelligence Quotient level of the second born Junior and Senior High

School identical twin students of Theresian School of Cavite? (c) Is there

a significant difference between the Intelligence Quotient levels of the

first and second born Identical Twins?. Data were collected from the

Identical Twins of the Junior and Senior High School from the school

mentioned above.

The sampling technique used was the non-purposive sampling. The total

sampling size was a total of ten (10) pairs of twins that is equivalent to twenty

(20) students in Theresian School of Cavite. The instrument used was a flash-

based IQ test hosted online at https://mensa.dk/iqtest/ and a personal data sheet to

gather the participant’s information such as their gender, age, and birth order.

Data generated from these instruments were compared using the Independent

Sample T-test method. The researchers found out that the average intelligence

quotient of first born and second born are both classified as having a normal range

of intelligence quotient and having a significant difference of the individualized

intelligence quotient of identical twin students.
