Project Name: CBS (Core Banking Solution) – CCD Overdraft and Overrun
Client: Lloyds

Description: Consumer Credit is still largely governed by the National legislation. To acknowledge
this, the new directives from this project will harmonize consumer credit contracts across the EU in
a number of areas which include the following:
a. Standardizing calculations governing the true cost of a credit
b. The provision of essential pre-sale information
c. Contractual information and the rights to cancel and repay early

This project will implement the changes required on CBS in order to support the Consumer Credit
Directive (CCD) in relation to Overdrafts, specifically the need to calculate the total cost of credit
over a pre-determined period and the need to include any fees in the pre-contract information.

Channels which offer overdrafts and letters relating to overdrafts need to display the extra
information in order to make themselves CCD compliant. All overdrafts and overdraft letters should
display the total cost of credit and the overdraft usage fees

Description: The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) initiative for the European financial
infrastructure involves the creation of a zone for the Euro in which all electronic payments are
considered domestic, and where a difference between national and intra-European cross border
payments does not exist.
The main objective of SEPA is to create an integrated payment market with a uniform set of
standards, rights and obligations across Europe. The Payment Service Directive (PSD) provides the
legal framework to enable this to happen. The outcome should lead to improved levels of consumer
protection, standardized rights and obligations, increased competition amongst national and cross-
border payment systems and should encourage new organizations to act as payment service
providers

provides an STP environment for capturing, processing and calculating the related entitlements
generated out of the CA announcements.

Single Platform Custody offers a number of important benefits in terms of additional services and
more automation and consolidation, including:

- enhanced levels of straight-through processing (STP)

- more streamlined processing as a result of harmonization agreements on dates and the
classification of corporate actions
- increased efficiency due to real-time credit and reporting of cash proceeds
- Clients will connect to Single Platform Custody using the Common Communication Interface
(CCI), which will replace each (I) CSD’s current client interfaces.

Description: The Transition Report Manager is a web based application that allows clients of the
JPM Managed Accounts and PB/PCS business (financial advisors at various sponsor firms) to send
JPMorgan their clients' existing equity portfolios in order for JPMorgan to produce a 'Transition
Report'. The transition report is a sales prospecting tool that allows the financial advisor to show a
client how JPM would manage the portfolio should JPMorgan be chosen as money manager.
Currently, the application exists for two lines of Business: Managed Accounts and Private
Banking/Private Client Services with their own database instance and the Transition Reports are
generated using Cognos 8.
