Key points:

 Researchers reviews both local and foreign study in order to give a clearer
presentation of the investigations. In some cases, foreign studies may have some
biases in terms of cultural background of the respondents of the study, therefore,
there is a need to review local studies conducted on the same topic so that the
effects of the cultural differences may be ascertained.
 Both local and foreign studies are normally reviewed on the chronological order
to establish the time-order progression of the topic. It should include existing
theories that can be used to explain the problem.
 The use of the following phrases and expressions that may help express related
literature and studies are:

 The relevance and justification of the reviewed literature and studies to the
present study local and foreign should give a clearer and more balanced
presentation that were conducted in various readings.
 It should be presented in topical form, irrespective whether it is local or foreign
and necessarily in chronological order.

 The researcher must write the review, organizing it and putting things together
in a way that will make sense to the reader. A well-organized review brings
together the necessary and relevant information on a single point or on similar
ideas and provides continuity among the results and conclusions of different
research reports.
 Studies reviewed should be grouped according to categories that are unique and
provide a logical organization of the information. Thus, it should have a
synthesis at the end to summarize and emphasize its relevance to the present
investigations.
