You may of heard about XLOOKUP, a new function in Excel.

XLOOKUP is a modern replacement for the VLOOKUP function. It's just as

easy to use, but it's way more flexible. Here are some of the advantages
XLOOKUP offers over VLOOKUP:

 XLOOKUP can look up data to the right or left

 XLOOKUP can use vertical and horizontal data
 XLOOKUP can return multiple values
 XLOOKUP defaults to an exact match (safer)
 XLOOKUP can perform a reverse search (last to first)
 XLOOKUP can retrieve entire rows or columns
 XLOOKUP can use arrays natively to apply complex criteria

In short, XLOOKUP is a powerhouse function.

We are adding video examples as well.

No XLOOKUP?

XLOOKUP is available only in the latest version of Office 365.

If you don't have Office 365, I recommend you use VLOOKUP for basic
lookups, and INDEX and MATCH for more complex scenarios. We have
many examples on our site.

If you need more structure, we also offer video training.

XLOOKUP is cool, but VLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH will still be around for
a long time.

Have a great weekend!
