To Whom It May Concern:

Ginny Mendez is always on the move. She is a high-energy person with great enthusiasm
and a strong, uplifting personality. She is genuine, a young woman of sincerity and
responsiveness. Ginny keeps her eye on her goals, is a positive influence on those
around her and is, at the same time, calm and confident about all that she takes on.

Working with Ginny and knowing her have been one of the greatest pleasures of my
career. This girl radiates enthusiasm and life. She is matured and involved. Ginny also is
aware of social issues in the world around her. Ginny has terrific interpersonal skills. This
young woman, as a student council representative, junior representative and this year its
president, is an effective lobbyist between our administration and the student body. She
has served both extremely well. Her positive outlook and unflagging tact have enabled
her to walk this thin diplomatic line with grace.

The leadership skills Ginny exhibits have developed as a result of the efforts she has
made. She is president of the Junior State of America, representative of the Dallas Teen
School Board, Youth District 3 Director of the League of Latin American Citizen, delegate
for the Student Voter Empowerment Coalition, member of the Dallas Police Department
Youth Leadership Council, and member of many other teams and has had numerous
leadershipcamp training experiences. She also has worked as a leadership trainer and
has earned the trust of her peers, being elected to positions on and off the field.

Extra-curricular and co-curricular activities aside, Ginny also has established and
extremely strong academic record, excelling in our most rigorous courses. Ginny would
rather work to do her best in challenging classes than take the easy route. This deserves
recognition. Ginny is a fighter.

I wholeheartedly recommend Ginny for admission to your school. She will contribute
tremendously to the academic excellence of your fine institution. She will be an
excellent role model for other young women to come, especially from minority groups. If
