BRIGADA ESKWELA

The school is an institution which is responsible in molding the learners into a responsible
individual in the society. This is where one is crafted into a better person, who will be an emblem of
the kind of learning center where he raised.
The six day Brigada Eskwela, also known as the National Schools Maintenance Week as
implemented by the Department of Education finally started with the inclusive dates of
May 20 – 25, 2019.

A week long activity aimed to provide innovative practices/implementations to encourage

local communities and offer education stakeholders to contribute their time, effort and resources in
ensuring that the school facilities are ready in time for the school opening.
The school level launching was primarily done on the first day. It was highlighted with a short
program, fully participated in by the teaching staff of So-ol Elementary School. Barangay and PTCA
Officials as well as the parents in their highest level of energy, enthusiasm and willingness to work.
Then a brief orientation given by the school head Mrs. Lina B. Batayola.
The community and the school work hand in hand to prepare the facilities for the start of
classes. Carpentry works, masonry works, landscaping, gardening, painting and cleaning were done
during the 6-day launching. Parents were busy cleaning the school ground, teachers and pupils
excitedly cleaned the classrooms and the PTCA officials and the stakeholders helped in soliciting
funds to purchase the materials needed in the repair maintenance of the school buildings and
facilities.
Through the overwhelming support of the volunteers, the classrooms are restricted and
spruced up. All school facilities are now in good condition the school surroundings is now free from
tall grasses. Generally, the school is now ready for the school opening. Evidences for the week long
activity are attached herewith.
