A Glimpse of Italy in Manila/Venice Grand Canal

Venice-inspired and world-class in design – its structure accurately resembles the Grand Canal in

Italy – Venice Grand Canal Mall is a lifestyle hub by Megaworld Corporation. It is located in the residential

kahawig ng Grand Canal sa Italya - Ang Venice Grand Canal Mall ay isang lifestyle hub ng Megaworld

Corporation. Matatagpuan ito sa residential development Venice Piazza sa McKinley Hill, Taguig City

Despite the upscale appearance and atmosphere that envelope the establishment, Venice Grand

Canal Mall is open to everyone. Since its opening in 2015, it has become one of the go-to hangout spots

of Taguig City residents.

Aside from its grand and picture-perfect scenery, Venice Grand Canal Mall is where one can discover

and enjoy an elevated lifestyle.

Venice Grand Canal Mall is not only a popular attraction due to its design and structure. It

continues to appeal to people as it offers a place where one can unwind and have a feel of the

casual lifestyle in Venice, Italy.

Located in the 50-hectare Venice Piazza under the development of Megaworld Corporation, The

Grand Canal Mall’s Venice Grand Canal is fast becoming tourist hotspot in Taguig City. Inspired by Italy’s

Venice Canal and Macau’s Venetian Grand Canal, wandering around the mall will make you feel you are

in Venice or in Venetian Macau.

The Venice Grand Canal is the center of attraction among the tourists in The Grand Canal Mall. Due

to its uniqueness and picturesque views, you will see countless visitors taking selfies and groupies by the

canal. For first time visitors like me, it was such a delight to see the beautiful architecture resembling that

of Venice. Being a mall, there is no entrance fee to see and enjoy the beautiful Venice Grand Canal.

Just like that of Venice in Italy and Venetian in Macau, the Venice Grand Canal offers gondola ride

that will cruise the entire stretch of the canal. The gondola ride costs 500 Php per person. This may be a

bit pricey but seeing the mall’s architecture from the canal’s perspective must be a different

experience. Gondola ride only operates during weekends from noon time until the mall closes at 10:00

PM.
Grand Canal/Canal Grande in ITALY

Venice's Canal Grande (Grand Canal) - also known by Venetians as Canalazzo - is the major

water-traffic corridor sweeping through this amazing city.

The Canal Grande snakes through the city of Venice in a large S shape, traveling from the Saint

Mark Basin on one end to a lagoon near the Santa Lucia rail station on the other. This ancient waterway

measures 3,800 meters (2.36 miles) long and ranges from 30 to 90 meters (about 100-300 feet) wide. In

most places, the canal is approximately 5 meters (16 feet) deep. The canal is an ancient waterway, lined

with buildings - about 170 in all - that were mostly built from the thirteenth to the eighteenth centuries.

Most were constructed by wealthy Venetian families.

It is believed that the Grand Canal follows the course of an ancient river. One of the first settlements

in the area grew along the canal around the area of the current Rialto Bridge
Fortune Island in Batangas

OVERVIEW In the middle of Luzon’s Southern waters, just an hour off the coast of Nasugbu

in Batangas lies Fortune Island. As little as it is, this lone island is hard to ignore with it boasting

of creamy white shores of powdery sands and turquoise waters as cold as ice. Not only that the beach is

beguiling to the eyes but its richness reaches hundred of meters deep, making its surrounding waters a

favourite diving spot. And just when you think that’s all there is to this little island, wait until it charms its

way to your heart, taking you into some unearthly place created only for the gods. Yes. Fortune Island is

not your typical tropical paradise. It is that and more. Surreal. Mystique. Mythical. So if you need a quick

beach fix with a goddess’ touch, simply head your way to our country’s own version of Athens. HISTORY

It has been a long time mystery…

The place was once slated to be a luxury island resort, or intended to be one. However, only a few

unfinished structures remain. This makes the island ideal for beach camping rather than a luxury beach

getaway. The main attraction of the island is extremely easy to spot out – The Acropolis of Athens. The

crumbling structure that reminds wanderers of the once mighty ancient citadel of Greece. Standing still

on the top of the rocky cliff, the Acropolis becomes one of the must have photos for people who have

chance to discover the Fortune.

Fantasy World in Lemery/ Disneyland of the Philippines

You don’t have to go to Disneyland to experience this magical fairy tale fantasy! You don’t even

have to book a flight or have a passport to make your dream come true because we have a “Disneyland”

of our own.

Fantasy World in Lemery, Batangas will take you to a Germany-inspired could-have-been

amusement park, with non-operational rides and other amenities. This unfinished theme park was meant

to rival Disneyland in the Philippines with its construction in 2001, but the park was never completed.

It drew a lot of attention when people started calling it the “Disneyland of the Philippines”. It is only

quite recently that it grew popular, but as a matter of fact, Fantasy World has been there since 2001.
