 CHAPTER 1

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

INTRODUCTION

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The main objective of this study is to renovate and remodel

the Araullo University walkway into something that makes this space
into its full potential for students.

Specifically, the study would like to answer the following

questions:

1. How would it help the growing population of students in

Araullo University?

2. How would it change the walkway in terms of being used?

3. How it would affect the welfare of the students if it

becomes inplemented?

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

The conceptual framework of the study shows what the research

is all about and the understanding of the importance of the
renovation to be made and its effect on the huge population of the
Araullo University students.

The conceptual framework will be done as to consider the

possible effect to the student’s community and the entire cost of
the project.
ASSUMPTIONS

We are proposing a renovation to be made in the Araullo

University walkway in consideration of the student’s welfare and
in the assumption that it will greatly help student’s or Araullo
University in their daily school life.

HYPOTHESIS

The formulated hypothesis used here assumes that the Araullo

University walkway can be a learning/review friendly place.

Also, another hypothesis is that it can be a good place for

a recreational activities/study among groups of students.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Proposing something new in replacement of the old structure

and improving it is the main significance of this study. By
improving something, that something will become more useful. The
same as this study, we aim to create something new and improve it
even further for the sake of making that place much more useful
and helpful among Araullo University students and the persons
inside of its institution.
Objectives of the Study

The main objectives are:

1. To evaluate the condition of the place and to assess the

possible changes it can have.

2. To have a general assessment knowledge on the reaction of the

students about the possible renovation and its purpose.

3. To determine the possible effect of the possible renovation on

the daily school life of the students.

SCOPES AND LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

This study focuses on the renovation of the Araullo

University walkway and its effect on the student’s daily life
and everyone who always use this place.

DEFINITIONS OF KEY TERMS

Renovation refers to creating/improving some

buildings/structures for a better purpose. It can be a complete
change or a partial which you only improve what is already there
and add something new.
