The safety and security characteristics of the present product are essential for the accordance to EN 1125.
With exception of changes written in this installation no other changes of any kind are allowed.

According to EN 1125 the application area of these panic devices is limited to the following:

The a.m. limitations are those established in the EN 1125 standard. When doors exceed one or more of these
limitations, doors are not more within the scope of the EN 1125 standard. So panic exit devices can not be certified
in accordance to this standard.

Panic devices manufactured according to EN 1125 guarantee a high degree of security. To secure troublefree
functionality the following points have to be recognized:

l Door and door frame are in good condition.

l The door should be checked to ensure correct hanging and freedom from binding.
l Care should be taken that any seals fitted to the complete door assembly, does not inhibit the correct operations
of the panic exit device.
l Before assemblying of panic exit devices to smoke and fire doors, it should be checked that products to be
installed are suitable to be used for smoke and fire doors.

For use on Fire and smoke check doors 1

l On double doorsets with rebated meeting stiles and where both leaves are fitted with panic exit devices, it is
essential to check that either leaf will open when its panic exit device is activated and also that both leaves will
open freely when both devices are operated simultaneously.
l Where panic exit devices are to be fitted to double doorsets with rebated meeting stiles and self closing devices
(door closers), a door coordinator device according to EN 1158 should be fitted to ensure the correct closing
sequence of the doors.

MAINTENANCE.
It is recommended that the following routine maintenance checks should be undertaken at intervals of not more than
one month by the occupier or his approved representative:
l Inspect and operate the panic device to ensure that all components are in a satisfactory working condition.
l Ensure that the keeper(s) is (are) free from obstruction.
l Lubricate the contact surfaces between the latch bolt and the keep by grease with a working temperature suitable
to the operating conditions (e.g. FINA Marson EPL2 or other equivalent).

These instructions should be passed on by the installer to the occupier.
