LESSON PLAN

I. OBJECTIVES

COGNITIVE

 Discuss the meaning of the teacher as a professional.


 Explain what the society demands from the teacher as a professional.
 Explain the professional competencies that a teacher should possess.
PSYCHOMOTOR

 Have the class present topics assigned to them during group activity.
AFFECTIVE

 Have the students write an essay about how they appreciate their teachers as a
professional.

II. SUBJECT MATTER: The Demands of Society from the Teacher as a Professional.

III. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES (2-3 minutes)

 Greetings
Teacher - Good morning Class!
Students – Good morning teacher!

 Prayer – Please lead the prayer “name of student”


 Attendance – Can you please name the students who are absent for today “name of
student”?
 Review- Last meeting, we discussed about the teaching profession. Tell me something
about what you’ve learned about it?

IV. MOTIVATION: Video presentation showing a day in a life of a teacher. (5 minutes)

V. INTRODUCTION/PRESENTATION (30 minutes)

Group the students into 5 discussing the following:

Group 1: Robert Marzano’s Causal Teacher Evaluation Model

Group 2: Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching

Group 3: James Stronge-Teacher Effectiveness Performance Evaluation System (TEPES)

Group 4: The Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST)

Group 5: Professionalism: The Hallmark of a Professional


VI. ABSTRACTION: Summarize the sub-lessons/topics discussed by the students (5 minutes)

VII. APPLICATION: Check the understanding. Active Discussion on page 34 (5 minutes)

VIII. EVALUATION: Recitation: Random call of students about their thought of the day. (10 mins)

IX. ASSIGNMENT: Do pages 35-36 (2 minutes)
