EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Internship is a form of training taking place in a normal working

situation. Om-the-job training is still widely in use today. In fact, it is

probably the most popular method of training because it requires only a

person who knows how to do the task, and the tools the person uses to do

the task; it is a one-on-one training located at the job site, where someone

who knows how to do task shows another how to perform it. It may not be

the most effective or they most efficient method at times, but it normally

the easiest to arrange and manage. Because the training take space on the

job, it can be highly realistic. It is often inexpensive because no special

equipment in needed other than what is normally on the job. The whole

OJT Experiences was really a great memory to remember. All the working

days, learn that the most important is the attitude, on how to deal with

the other people, it is also needs knowledge and skills in analyzing the

situation or the task that has given to you.

Training helps the student to improve performance at work place.

Also it adds more diversified experience and abilities which enriching the

self-acquired proficiencies of the students. Training helps to minimize the

margin of errors at workplace and most importable its short on the period

of time consumed in completing the work.

The Commission is under the over-all control of the Chairman and

the Commissioners, who constitute the policymaking body that lays down

the guidelines and regulations for elections, referenda, plebiscites,

initiatives and recalls. The Commission sits either En Banc or in two

divisions in order to expedite disposition of election cases including pre-

proclamation controversies.

The Chairman is the chief executive of the Commission. Under him

is the Executive Director whose duty is to implement policies and decisions

and to take charge of the administrative affairs of the Commission.

Assisting the Executive Director are the two deputies: a Deputy Executive

Director for Administration and a Deputy Executive Director for

Operations.

As part of being a college student it is a requirement for us to have

our internship in order to pass the course, but it is not all about that, it is

about learning through experience, because in the reality it is important

for us to understand what was happening in the actual field, I know that

this is for ourselves to learn, to adjust, to prepare and be an experienced

individual that can independently have a successful future on our chosen

career of work.

The internship we had in Commission on Election allowed us to

experience and learn new things each day. We exposed to work under

pressure, work simultaneously, and molded my mind to a better one. We

placed in a company where its main function is to cater the needs of every

residents in Dagupan City, attends to their inquiries, updating their

voters. We also developed and boosted our personality and confidence

towards the voter member and employees.

We would like to recommend Commission on Election, Dagupan City

OPES, to other trainees who will take this subject in the future because

the company has a great facility that is conducive to learning. The

personnel are easy to approach, supportive, and very understanding. For

me, the training time is quite short, so I also would like to recommend to

extend it to 300 hrs.

It is important however to ensure that the internship offered to you,

is going to provide you with the necessary training and skills that you need.

So before rushing into accepting any internship, paying or not paying, meet

with the prospective company first, and ask for an in-depth overview as to

what training would be provided, and what your duties and responsibilities

would involve. Ensure that the job is the right fit for you, and that you are

going to get out of it what you need. There needs to be a common goal for

both you and the company, and there is no point in wasting either of your

time and effort, if it is not going to be a match.
