Sir/Madam,
Sub: Request to allow me to continue the Degree course
without redo – Regarding.

I am a student of B.A.LL.B., 5 year integrated Degree Course

studying in Government Law College, Coimbatore in 2017 to 2022
batch. While pursuing my II year of my Degree Course, I participated in
Volleyball tournament conducted by NUJS Culcutta between
08.02.2019 and 10.02.2019 and Volleyball and Football Tournament in
Hydrabad between 01.02.2019 and 02.03.2019 with your due
permission.
Though I got adequate attendance by including the above days
on which I participated in the sports, my name was mentioned in the
list of candidates for redo the 4th and also I was not allowed to appear
for the 4th semester Examinations.
In the said situation, I was constrained to approach this Hon’ble
High Court of Madras in W.P. No. 26224 of 2019.
As the classes for 5th Semester commenced in the meanwhile, by
an Interim Order dated 04.10.2019, the Hon’ble Madras High Court in
W.M.P. No.25624/2019 in W.P. No.26224 of 2019, directed to admit me
into 5th Semester. Subsequently, on 15.10.2019, I was admitted by the
3rd of you to attend the regular instruction classes for the 5th semester.
By the Final Order dated 13.11.2019, the Hon’ble Madras High

Madras High Court, directing the 3rd of you to consider my request
sympathetically and allow me continue the course without insisting me
to re-do my 4th semester.
As the Hon’ble Court has given a categorical finding that when
my absence for attending sports meet without permission is condoned,
I get required minimum attendance of 66%. Accordingly, for the
remainder of the lack of attendance, I am prepared to pay the prescribed
condonation fee and the same may kindly be permitted.
By the same Final Order the Hon’ble Court has observed that I
will not entitled to take up my 5th semester examination without
adequate attendance. In the circumstances, I may be permitted to
attend classes for the 5th semester classes by conducting special classes
for me.
Therefore, I humbly request that as a student hailing from the
oppressed community, I may be permitted to pursue my Degree without
any hurdle as per directions of the Hon’ble High Court for which I will
be grateful to you forever.

Enclosure: Final Order in W.P. No.26224 of 2019
