DEPARTMENT ORDER) SUBJECT: BIDS AND AWARDS COMMITTEES IN THE

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 11 of Republic Act No. 9184,
otherwise known as the Government Procurement Reform Act, and its
Implementing Rules and Regulations, a single Bids and Awards Committee (BAC)
for Civil Works in the Central Office is hereby established to undertake the
procurement of all foreign-assisted and locally-funded civil works projects of the
Department costing above PSGMillion per project.

The existing BACs for Civil Works in the Central Office shall consequently be
consolidated into a single BAC and be reconstituted through the issuance of a
separate Special Order.

All other existing Special BACs for Civil Works in the Central Office are
hereby abolished, except those established in compliance with existing loan
agreements.

The existing Central Office BACs for Consultancy Services and Goods shall
continue to perform their respective functions unless reconstituted.

This Order supersedes all previous issuances to the contrary and shall take
effect immediately.
