PRAYER LETTER FOR APRIL 2019

April 30TH, 2019
Dear Friends,
In Luke 14:23, the Bible says, “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and
compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
During the past month of April, we concentrated our evangelistic efforts in some of these highways and
hedges, but also in some remote areas in the mountains of Sacatepequez, which is about 45 minutes from the
Capital. Our mission there, Nuevo Amanecer, is surrounded by many villages and hard-to-reach areas that are
full of people. It was in some of the villages that we met and shared the Gospel with many folks. Some were
quite shocked to see us “go down” unto them. This is because not many outsiders usually come. These folks
live in “barrancos” or gulleys, or valleys, which are only accessible by foot. We have witnessed and seen some
souls saved, but there is much work to be done. Continue to pray as we continue to reach these precious souls
for Christ.
We have also been helping another fellow missionary get organized in the starting of another church close to
ours. Thus far we have been able to hand out tracts and go out soul winning each week, with many
professions of faith. We look forward to the first days in June when this brother´s church will start conducting
services. We are glad to have a part in organizing and planting a yet new church in Sacatepequez.
We continue reaching alcoholics and addicts through our medical ministry at the Hope Rescue Mission. We
are excited how the Lord is working in the lives of many of these souls, many who are fallen Christians in need
of restoration. God has given us a heart for them, and we are glad to be in the business of helping the fallen
get up again and go on for Jesus!
Please continue to pray for our deaf ministry. This year, our deaf ladies are in charge of making gifts for our
upcoming Mother´s Day, which is May 12th. We are also reorganizing the deaf ministry so they can be more
proactive in reaching their own. Pray as we organize a more aggressive soul winning and visitation program so
that the deaf can visit many others that we have not been able to reach. One such young deaf woman is
Alexandra, 19 years of age, in Sacatepequez, whom we have been trying to evangelize for the past month. She
is typical of the many uneducated deaf who know no sign language, and it is up to us to teach her LENSEGUA
(Guatemalan Sign Language) in order to win her to Christ.

Last, pray for Jaimie as she goes to the States for the next few weeks for her “R&R” time, which is well
deserved! In this trip she will get a chance to see our grandkids, our daughters Anna and Abigail, our daughter-
in-law Traysha and Anthony our son, and our sons-in- laws (or outlaws! LOL) And pray for me, as I “stay by the
stuff”.

Four souls,

Brother Carlos Donate
