Human being - It is used to distinguish man from other animals.

Person- Refers to a human being granted recognition of certain rights, protection, responsibilities, and
dignity above all. It is the totality of an individual, possessing awareness, self-determination, and the
capacity to interact with others and with himself/herself.
Self – awareness -Refers to the person having a clear perception of oneself, including his thoughts,
emotions, identity and actions.
Self-determination- This refers to the capability of persons to make choices and decisions based on their
own preferences, monitor and regulate their actions, and be goal-oriented and self-directed. We are
persons because we act and we are aware of our actions.
Free Will - It enables us to do actions whenever we want to and make various alternatives it also enables a
person to act willfully, control his actions, and recognize himself as the source of action.
Human kind - It is a part of the world, and we significantly affect our environment in the same way that
changes in our environment affect us.
Consequence- It is the result or effect of an action or condition. Philosophers believe that a person acts
freely and with due regard for the consequences of his actions.
Morality -It is the goodness or ‘badness’ of an act.
Human Acts- It complete the person, as it is through his actions that his inner self is revealed to others,
and it is through action that a person is able to explore and fulfill his potential.
Man- it is the general term commonly used to refer to the entire human race.
Human- Refers to man as a species.
Personhood- Refers to the state of being a person.
Human Nature - It refers to the characteristics (like thinking, feeling and acting) that distinguish humans
from all other creatures.
Human Person - Have the ability to control and to aware every situation and has a principles, reputation,
and dignity.
Responsibility - A duty or obligation to satisfactorily perform or complete a task (assigned by someone or
created by one’s own promise or circumstances) that one must fulfill, and which has a consequent penalty
for failure.
Inter subjectivity - It is a relationship that is supported by genuine communication founded on mutual
respect for each other as subjects, and on co-presence - the openness of one's presence to the presence of
the other.
Creativity- It also means that a person can create within himself what is not yet existing outside. Having
an inner world allows a person to create goals, dreams and plans which may be realized through activity.
Freedom -Is the power rooted in reason and will to act or not to act, to do this or that and so to perform
deliberate action.
Sigmund Freud - He stated that, “Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves
responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility.
Objective Domain - This pertains to the natural world that maintains relative independence and truths are
tested against empirical evidence.
Social Domain - Truths are tested against their acceptability to a particular group in a particular time in
history.
Personal Domain - In this domain truths are tested against the consistency and authenticity of the person
who claims it.
Internal Freedom- The first and most basic type of freedom, some people call this moral freedom.
Political Freedom - The right to speak freely, to associate with people of your choice, to own power, to
worship.
External Freedom -This refers to the normal and common freedoms expected in daily life, in most
countries, throughout history.
Self –freedom- In the sense of learning how to escape the ever present danger enslavement by our own
passion and ignorance.
Spiritual freedom- This type of freedom comes from striving for a complete identification with God to
arrive at a condition of soul that transcends the confusion and disharmony of the self and the material
world.
Collective freedom- Based on an ideology of collective unity that prescribes distinct social and moral
values and objectives for all.
Fact- It is anything that is done or happened; anything actually existent; any statement strictly true; truth;
reality.
Inductive reasoning- It refers to reasoning that takes specific information and makes a broader
generalization that is considered probable, allowing for the fact that the conclusion may not be accurate.
Richard Dawkins -According to him, “There is something infantile in the presumption that somebody else
has a responsibility to give your life meaning and point… The truly adult view, by contrast, is that our life
is as meaningful, as full and as wonderful as we choose to make it.”
Albert Camus -“Seeking what is true is not seeking what is desirable.”
Willard Van Orman Quine - A philosopher who stated that “Language is a social art.”
Wilfrid Sellars - He specified, that the aim of philosophy, abstractly formulated, is to understand how
things in the broadest possible sense of the term hang together in the broadest possible sense of the term.”
Human Dignity- It is rooted in the nature of the human being, meaning, a person has dignity simply
because of the fact that he is human.
Language- It is a system of verbal and non-verbal written symbols with standardized meaning.
Social Interaction - It refers to the mutual inter stimulation & response between 2 or more persons and
groups through symbols, language, gestures, & expression of ideas.
Self-deception - Inability to reliably counter bias, vested interest, and conflicting interest in one’s own
mind.
Unaware Ignorance - The great unknown that we seek to discover. Mysteries to be explored.
Assumptions - A strong belief lacking a strong technical justification. A close cousin to defined truth.
