ABOUT NSHS

The National School Health Summit is a multi-stakeholder platform to


facilitate dialogue towards a shared understanding of emerging challenges in the field
of School Health. The aim of the Summit is to develop cross-sector collaboration in
order to improve the school healthcare scenario of the country.

SCHOOL HEALTH AWARDS 2020

The National School Health Summit will host the maiden edition of School Health
Awards 2020. These awards are designed to honour and celebrate the distinguished
contributions made by an individual or an organization in the field of School Health.
The shortlisted nominations will be invited to the Summit and felicitated in front of
the gathering. The winning nomination in each category will receive:

1. Recognition of excellence on a National Platform


2. Special Citation and Memento highlighting the achievement
3. One Complementary Delegate Pass
4. Right to exhibit Award logo on company collaterals

Please Note: Some of the category nominations have no Nomination fee. Each Paid
Nomination will entail one complimentary delegate pass for two days.

Please Note - Awards in this Category can be given to more than one deserving nom-
inee as per the jury discretion.

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA

 Nominee should be a resident of India in case of individual entries and have a


registered presence in India in case of Organizational entries.

 Any project, initiative or practices mentioned in the nomination form should have
been carried out in India.

 The project/initiative should have qualitatively/quantitatively contributed to the


betterment of School Health in India and can include (not limited to) Research,
documentation, training, capacity building, awareness, mobilization, changing
practices, product/service development, survey, etc.

 The project/initiative/other contribution must be carried out/on-going/initiated


between 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2019.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 A person can nominate another person/organization for any of the category given
that it is duly communicated to the organizers.

 The management and jury has the right to reclassify nomination from one category
to another if need be, or cancel the nomination in the case of fabricated or
incomplete information. The Information for the same will be duly given to the
nominee.

 The decision of the Jury will be final and binding, and no reassessment requests will
be entertained.

 Read the Category-wise eligibility criteria carefully before filling the form.

 Nomination fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable.

CATEGORY WISE ELEGIBLITY CRITERIA

INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES

Distinguished Contribution: Teacher - Private School


 Nominee should be a permanent faculty of a Private School in India
 The initiative/project can be a group project, given that one teacher represents the
team in the nomination

Distinguished Contribution: Teacher- Government School


 Nominee should be a permanent faculty of a Government School in India.
 The initiative/project can be a group project, given that one teacher represents the
team in the nomination.

Distinguished Contribution: School Nurse/Doctor


 Nominee should be a permanent doctor/nurse/medical staff member of a School in
India.
 The initiative/project can be a group project, given that one nominee represents the
team in the nomination.

Distinguished Contribution: Social Worker


 The Nominee should be a qualified Social Worker which can be proven through years
of experience/ projects-led/ educational qualification.
 Minimum two years of experience.
 The initiative/project can be a group project, given that one person represents the
team in the nomination.

Distinguished Contribution: Public Health Professional


 The Nominee should be a qualified Public Health Professional, which can be proven
through years of experience, projects-led/ educational qualification.
 The initiative/project can be a group project, given that one person represents the
team in the nomination

Lifetime Achievement Award
 The nominee must have a proven record of experience and contribution in the field
of School Health in India for a minimum of 20 years.

ORGANIZATION CATEGORIES

Best School Health Practices: Government School


1. This category is open to all government schools in India that have adopted and
promoted Healthy School Practices.
2. Zone-wise awards will be given to the schools in this category.

1. This category is open to all Private schools in India that have adopted and promoted

Most Committed School Health NGO


1. The Nominee organization registered NGO in India
2. The Work/Projects/Initiatives nominated for the Award should have directly/
indirectly benefited the health of School-age children and Adolescents.

Most innovative health product/service by a Start-up


1. The Nominee organization must be a registered Company in India, with a period of
existence and operations not exceeding 10 years from the Date of Incorporation.
2. The Product/Service nominated for the Award should have directly/indirectly
benefited the health of School-age children and Adolescents.

Outstanding CSR Initiative in Health by a Company (or Companies)
 The Nominee organization company registered in India/have a branch in India and
should be eligible for CSR.
 The Work/Projects/Initiatives nominated for the Award should have directly/indirectly
benefited the health of School-age children and Adolescents.
 The CSR Project can also be a co-funded project.

Distinguished Contribution by a Hospital/Medical Institution


 The Nominee organization must be a registered Hospital/medical institution in India.
 The Product/Service nominated for the Award should have directly/indirectly benefited
the health of School-age children and Adolescents.
