“Rest and self-care are so important. When

you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows

you to serve others from the overflow. You

cannot serve from an empty vessel.” - Eleanor

“Day of rest” is the day when we put-off everything that keeps us busy to be able to refreshen our minds,
body, and soul.

It is important to have at least a day in a week to rest, because it is only through resting where we can relax
our minds, drop our worries, and think of other things and activities that could help our minds and body
feel relaxed and refreshen, such as exercising, going to the mall, watching movies, and the like. If we do
not take at least a day to rest, we will feel exhausted of our everyday work, which will eventually lead to
anxiety, depression, and lack of motivation.

My regular day of rest is every Sunday. I spend it by going to the mass and doing things that will help me
unwind, such as going to the mall, watching movies, and hanging-out with my family and friends. Before,
I do not have a day of rest, because I believe in continuously working to be able to finish all the things that
I needed to finish, but the consequence of it is that it made me feel exhausted and unmotivated to go through
another week. But when I discovered the beauty of taking a day of rest, I realized that I can become more
productive and efficient in doing my everyday work.
