TITLE Plant status as of 19th Feb, 2020
SFC’S REP. Mr. Manish Bagul & Mr. Praveen Singh DATE: 19/02/2020

Site visit was done at 5 MLD Sarakki Site on 19th Feb, 2020. Following are the observations and
inferences on site:

Observations:

• Lab TSS Equipwment is not suitable to perform the TSS Analysis, as it is mostly used in
pharmacuitical application. TSS Inlet and Outlet water analysis should be done using Glass Fibre
filter (1.5 um filter size and 47 mm dia) and Filtration assembly of suitable type as shown in
image, both should be procured and used.

Required Equipement

• Service water pump is of high capacity and at a time it is

not in use in all places so it is creating a high pressure at
DWPE tank and Centrifuge, so water is being thrown by
draining it through unused FeCl3 tank. This excess service
water goes back to Wetwell (Calculated flow of 80
m3/day). Thus, return lines to be added near pumps to
control the pressure

• PVC lining till SBR Basins for FeCl3 dosing is done but impellar in FeCl3 Dosing tank is missing.
.

• To reduce the Sludge in the SBR Basins, Sludge is being bypassed through the channel by closing
the gates of the receiving chamber, where discharge of sludge is not known and it may be coming
back to the Wet well at any point of the day. Hence, removal of sluge through operation of
centrifuge is very necessary.

• All the grit is being dumped in the SBR Basins as Vortex Grit is not in operation. Grit will be
accumulating in the SBR basins and it will be affecting the selector zone , Diffusers and
machinery inside.
