MOM: CATL- IKEA

 IKEA is majorly targeting Sofa (Major supplier: Kurlon and Stanley Furniture) and
Quilt products.
 In Mattress IKEA deals in majorly spring mattress and also in coir mattress. They
already have a good source of supply.
 IKEA has developed natural fibres based woven bags using water hyacinth (1st order
will be received in October, 18 from Jharkhand). Grass is used in weaving these bags.
 IKEA is interested in procuring customized wooden furniture with approximately
1000 cr value annually.
 Bamboo can be option if the supply is continuous with approximately 500-800 cr
value annually.
 As per IKEA, they have good source of carpets but machine made carpet sourcing
will be a great option for them.
 Suggestion from IKEA to go for a manufacturing facility with outsourcing of other
assembly components to cater a large range of products.
