IRON & STEEL SECTOR

The technology used in Brescia for producing steel

(EAF route) does not involve iron-making. It reuses
existing steel (scrap), by melting it in an Electric Arc
Furnace, avoiding the need for raw materials and their
processing.

The advantages of the secondary-cycle technology

are: higher flexibility, lower environmental impact and
lower investments. European
NON-FERROUS METALS
leadership
Non-ferrous semi-finished products are the main input
of various sectors connected with the construction
industry (metal ceilings, doors and windows, heaters,
taps, valves and household goods) and the transport
industry (aluminium offers the fastest, safest, most
environmentally friendly and cost-effective way to
increase performance, boost fuel economy and
reduce emissions while maintaining or improving
safety and durability).
