Caterpillar Sensor Simulators

To aid in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Caterpillar pressure or temperature sensor used on
FPC equipped stimulation or CPF cementing pumps, we have created pressure and temperature
simulators that can be connected to end of a cable and the tech can verify that from the end cable all the
way back to the HMI/Computer that everything is working.

Each of these simulators can be made locally by following the wiring diagram for each.

Summary:

CAT 150 Temperature Simulator - 101342138

This simulator will function like the Caterpillar Temperature sensor (130-9811) by giving an exact
temperature reading of 150° F. Connect the simulator to the end of a standard 2 pin Deutsch and you
should get a reading of exactly 150° F on the HMI. This can be used to simulate the following: Trans
Converter Temp, Trans Sump Temp & Power End Oil Temp.

CAT 0-460 PSI Simulator - 101342140

This simulator will function like a 0-460 PSI Caterpillar pressure sensor (161-9932) by giving a 0-5 volt
signal that is equal to a 0-460 PSI being applied to the sensor. Connect the simulator to the end of the 3
pin Deutsch and adjust the potentiometer from minimum to maximum to get a 0-460 psi reading on the
HMI. This can be used to simulate the following: Trans Main Oil PSI, Trans Filter In PSI, Trans Filter Out
PSI, Power End Oil PSI and Trans Lockup PSI

CAT 0-850 PSI Simulator - 101910294

This simulator will function like a 0-850 PSI Caterpillar pressure sensor (163-8511) by giving a 0-5 volt
signal that is equal to a 0-850 PSI being applied to the sensor. Connect the simulator to the end of the 3
pin Deutsch and adjust the potentiometer from minimum to maximum to get a 0-850 psi reading on FPC.
This can be used to simulate the following: Trans Main Oil PSI and Trans Lockup PSI on the CAT
Transmissions.
