ABSTRACT

Ergonomic assessment is also a workstation assessment wherein it ensures that

the worker’s workstation is ergonomically designed to minimize the risk of injury and

maximize productivity. It was observed that the employees in Multimedia Center Hub at

De La Salle Lipa have an improper posture in lifting due to the malposition of cassettes

and speakers that causes them to have a low back pain. The purpose of this study was

to observe, analyze and determine the lifting process of the employees and to provide a

study to prevent physical injuries due to lifting. Two student assistant and two employee

who have been assigned at Multimedia Center participated in the study and the result

was based from the risks assessment and postural tools - National Institute for

Occupational Safety and Health Lifting Guide, Rapid Upper Limb Assessment and

Rapid Entire Body Assessment.
