Hinduism is a way of life that has its origin from then times of antiquity and the medieval times. In Hindu
there are two main categories of the writing that guide them which include the vedas and the
Upanishadic wisdom. On the one side, the vedas is concerned with the principles that are heard. They
trace back to the medieval times and have been passed from generation to generation through oral
means. The Hindus believe that these wordings are divine and are not man made and hence should be
accorded some degree of respect and recognition. Secondly is the concept of Smriti which is the product
of human intellect. This category of scriptures and literature contains individual workings with regards
to the vedas and the divine generations. It is mainly regarded to those believes based on memory.
Among the prophets of the Smriti incudes the They are the works Manu, Yagjnavalkya, Sankha, and
Parasara. The second part of the literature of the scriptures that guide the Hindu religion clearly engages
the scripture to the part of maintaining social and human dignity. For example, the provision of the rules
that provides rules and regulations with regards to the management of social co-existence.

On the other hand, Islam has a main scripture that guides them towards the way of Allah. The primary
sculpture in Islam is the Quran. Unlike in Hinduism, the Islam have a well-documented religious book
called Quran and they believe in the existence of one supernatural being called Allah which last prophet
is called Mohammad. The Islam believes in the holy scripture Quran which has a wide variety guidance,
rules and regulations. The Quran explain different aspects including the stories of new Muslims, prophet
Mohammad, Islamic history, systems of Islam, benefits of Islam, the reasons why Islam is the true
religion among others. I believe that, as much as both the religions believe in the supernatural being, the
revelation of the scripture is differently defining their trust and believes on the contemporary issues
such as marriage and other social responsibilities. Comparatively, the two scriptures in the two religions
provides rules and regulations that on how the society have to behave, relate and interact both with
themselves and with their supernatural beings. Additionally, both religions accorded their scriptures a
lot of respects and holiness.

How Students perceptions may or may not have changed after conducting research and study focusing
on their roles as global citizens.

The perception of the student does not change because understand the difference in principles and
doctrine that separates the two religions. Hindus are predominantly guided by the rules and regulations
from the Vedas and the Smriti in which it is termed very holy. All the Hindus believe that they should, at
all times, be in line with the principles of their scriptures. For the Muslims, the Quran is the primary
scripture responsible for the maintenance of piece, justice and spiritual considerations in the society. I
therefore believe that every individual has the right to believe and worship what they deem fit for
themselves. As a global citizen, I believe that as much as the different religions do not interfere with
what others believe or practice with regards to religion should be allowed to worship.
